This Privacy Policy describes how PaperDue ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application on iOS, iPadOS, and related Apple platforms. We are committed to protecting your privacy. PaperDue is designed to function with the minimum amount of data necessary, and we do not collect personal information about you.
By installing or using PaperDue, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
PaperDue is built around a privacy-first philosophy. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. Specifically:
- No personal identifiers. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking technologies.
- No usage telemetry. We do not record how you use the app, which screens you visit, or which buttons you tap.
- No crash reporting services. We rely solely on Apple's built-in crash reporting (which you may opt out of in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements).
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following information is created and stored only on your device (and optionally synced through your private iCloud account):
- Followed conferences. The list of conferences you choose to follow.
- Reminder preferences. Your custom notification schedules (e.g., 14 days, 7 days, 3 days before a deadline).
- App preferences. Display settings such as language, theme, time zone, and grade-tag visibility (CCF, CORE).
- Custom conferences. Any conferences you manually add to track.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync (see Section 4).
